Skopje - The centre-right candidate, Mr Boris Trajkovksi, has won Macedonia's presidential election by around 69,000 votes after a partial re-run yesterday, his party said, citing unofficial results.

Mr Trajkovksi won 133,637 votes in the re-run to make his final total 582,663 while his Social Democrat rival Mr Tito Petkovski won 3,568 votes in the re-run to achieve a final tally of 513,504, a spokesman for the governing VMRO party said.
