The Prince of Wales and his partner Ms Camilla Parker Bowles flew out of Cork Airport yesterday morning after their three-day visit to Co Waterford.
The prince's departure yesterday was a low-key affair. At Cork airport security was tight but discreet. Armed special branch detectives kept watch nearby and flights at the airport were halted.
Prince Charles and Ms Parker Bowles arrived in Ireland on Friday to attend the 60th birthday party of Lord Peregrine Cavendish, Marquess of Hartington and the 12th Duke of Lismore-in-waiting at the family's ancestral home at Lismore, Co Waterford.
