A student in a Co Derry special school has been found to be infected with E.coli bacteria.

A student in a Co Derry special school has been found to be infected with E.coli bacteria.

The finding of the bacterial infection in the five-year-old pupil led to the closure of the Kilronan Special School in Magherafelt yesterday.

A second student is also suspected of having the bug.

An investigation is under way at the school, which has 76 pupils.
