The Coca-Cola company, which is building a £115 million plant on 100 acres in Ballina, Co Mayo, is holding an open day for prospective employees next Wednesday at the Moy Valley resources business centre. The company will go into production in July, employing 150 at first, with hundreds more in the services sector. It will be one of the company's largest concentrate manufacturing plants in the world.
It was confirmed yesterday that a £10 million 136-house scheme is to be built at Killala Road, near the site. It is the largest of four housing schemes planned for the area providing for 322 houses.
