Gardaí and Customs officers have broken up a drug-dealing operation in Cork with the seizure of €200,000 worth of high-grade cocaine.

Garda Drug Squad members from Cork North Division and Cork city, along with Customs officers, raided a premises at Little Island on the outskirts of Cork city yesterday morning. They arrested one man.

Inside the property they discovered a plastic-wrapped package containing white powder.

According to sources, the package contained at least 4kg of high-grade cocaine destined for the Cork market.
