Suspected cocaine worth as much as €280,000 on the street was seized at Kerry Airport at Farranfore today.
Officers from Revenue's Customs service, through use of risk-profiling methods, stopped and searched a male British national in his 60s as he arrived on a flight from Frankfurt and discovered the cocaine in the lining of his rucksack.
This discovery represents the largest seizure of cocaine at Kerry Airport.
The man has been arrested and investigations are ongoing.
