An error was made during the draw for last Saturday’s Lotto Plus 2 draw. The number "9" ball was called out as a number "6" ball.
The National Lottery said this happened because there was a number misprint in the number "9" ball.Each ball number is printed twelve times on the draw balls. One of the numbers printed on the number "9" ball was incorrectly underlined as "6".
It says it will now pay out on combinations of numbers containing both "6" and "9". It could cost the lottery up to €54,000 as it pays out on both combinations.
Those with a winning combination of the following numbers - 3, 9, 23, 39, 40, 42 Bonus 10 - can collect their winnings in the usual way.
Those with a winning combination of the following numbers - 3, 6, 23, 39, 40, 42 Bonus 10 - can collect winnings by signing the back of your ticket and posting it, with name, address and telephone number, to Lotto Plus 2, National Lottery, Abbey Street Lower, Dublin 1.
Lotto say they will verify ticketsand refund the cost of postage. In a statement on their website today, they apolgised for any confusion caused.
They advise players who have any queries about this matter, including players who have already claimed their prize, to call the National Lottery (01 8364444) or email customer.services@lottery.ie.
