Homeowners will soon have access to grants of more than €25,000 towards a deep retrofit of their house – covering close to half the cost (45-51 per cent). The new Home Energy Upgrade Scheme aims to help significantly improve energy efficiency and ultimately reduce gas and electricity bills.

We want to hear from Irish Times readers if you have carried out any major retrofitting work in your home.

What retrofitting work did you do in your home?

How much did it cost and how long did it take to complete from sourcing the tradesmen to the completion of work?

Are you satisfied with the result – has the retrofitting work caused your gas or electricity bills to be lower?
