Racing: Coolmore supremo John Magnier still hopes both Duke Of Marmalade and Soldier Of Fortune will run in Sunday's Qatar Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe.
The former has been very weak in the market after reports he could miss the race if condititions continued to ease.
However Magnier insisted: "At the moment we want to run the two of them."
He will take some heart from the weather updates in France.
The Longchamp track measured 3.3 (good to soft) today after 3mm of rainfall over the preceding 24 hours.
"The ground should not change much despite the scattered showers which are forecast," explained Thierry Delegue, France Galop's assistant general manager.
"A good to soft track should satisfy everyone."
