A Cork man, who was assaulted on the north side of the city on Friday night, died yesterday at Cork University Hospital.
Three men were arrested following the incident and questioned at the Mayfield and Gurranabraher Garda station in Cork but were released without charge.
A file is expected to be sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions.
