Man arrested in Cork in connection with garda investigation into theft at Thurles bar

Gardaí investigating a robbery at Tipperary hurler Lar Corbett's bar in Thurles last month have made an arrest.

A 48-year-old man was arrested in Cork city this afternoon and is being quesitoned in connection with the robbery.

The robbery took place at Lar Corbett’s bar @Coppingers on Parnell St, Thurles, in the early hours of Friday August 28th.

Mr Corbett later published CCTV footage of the alleged perpetrator. The short clip showing a man wearing white trousers, a dark jacket, a cap and a large rucksack approaching the front door of the premises.

A reward of €5,000 was also offered for information on the robbery.
