A man and a woman were attacked and robbed after arranging a meeting to sell a car in north Dublin on Tuesday.

The couple, both in their 20s, drove to the meeting at Southshore Road, Rush, at about 8.40pm, but were blocked by a black Volvo car carrying three men.

They were then attacked by two of the men and a quantity of cash was stolen.

The man was treated in hospital for his injuries.

Gardaí say an investigation into the robbery is ongoing and no arrests have been made.
