The trial of a man accused of murdering the manager of the Sunset House pub in Dublin last year has been adjourned until Wednesday morning.

Eamonn Cumberton (30) of Mountjoy Street, Dublin 7, has pleaded not guilty to the murder of 35-year-old Michael Barr in the Sunset House pub in north inner city Dublin on April 25th, 2016.

It is the prosecution’s case that Mr Cumberton is “inextricably linked” to items seized from a partially burnt-out car near the scene and that the items themselves are “inextricably linked” to the shooting.

The Special Criminal Court was hearing evidence on Tuesday from gardaí at the mapping section when Bernard Condon SC, for the accused man, asked the judges for time to consider additional evidence, which had been served to the defence by the prosecution on Monday night.
