Gardaí in north Co Dublin have seized drugs and cash with a combined value of more than €30,000 following a search operation in Malahide on Friday.

Shortly before 4pm on Friday gardaí from the Coolock divisional drug unit searched a home in the Malahide area and recovered drug paraphernalia, cocaine with an estimated value of €10,010, cannabis herb valued at €4,460 and €19,320 in cash. The cash and drugs were seized by gardaí.

A male youth was arrested at the scene and taken to Coolock Garda station. He was detained under section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, before being released without charge. Gardaí said a file is being prepared for consideration by the Juvenile Liaison Officer.
