Four men arrested by gardaí as part of an investigation into alleged drug-related intimidation have been charged and are due to appear before the courts in Dublin on Tuesday.
The men - aged from their late teens to their early 30s - were arrested as part of Operation Fógra, which targets intimidation in the drugs trade, in north Dublin.
After the men were arrested in separate operations on Tuesday morning they were taken to Garda stations in Dublin. All four have since been charged with offences by gardaí and are due to appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice in central Dublin.
Gardaí established Operation Fógra to tackle the issue of money being demanded with menaces by criminals who allege they are owed money for drugs. It has emerged as a significant problem causing fear in some communities in Dublin.
