Gardaí hold three in dissident republican operation

Three men are being detained by gardaí in connection with investigations into the activities of dissident republicans in Dublin.

The men, aged in their 20s, 30s and 40s, were arrested by members of the special detective unit and the crime and security section during a planned operation in the Lucan area this morning.

Gardaí reported the confiscation of a significant quantity of electronic equipment, but did not elaborate.

The three are being held for questioning at Lucan and Clondalkin Garda stations under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.
