The Court of Appeal has reserved judgment in Alan Boggans’s bid to have his conviction for possession of €1.9 million worth of cannabis set aside.
Boggans (39) of Peamount Road, Newcastle, Co Dublin, pleaded not guilty to possessing over €1.9 million worth of cannabis resin for sale or supply at Celtic Truck Wash, College Road, Rathcoole, on September 1st, 2009.
He was found guilty at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court and sentenced to 13 years imprisonment on June 24th, 2013. Boggans moved to appeal his conviction yesterday on grounds involving the warrant.
President of the Court of Appeal Mr Justice Seán Ryan said the court would reserve judgment to a date in February.
