A search has resumed this morning for a man missing since yesterday evening in the river Nore in Kilkenny.
The man was spotted in the water by a pedestrian at 7.30 last night but could not be reached. It is believed he entered the water near Greensbridge.
A search involving gardaí, the garda helicopter and local civil defence units was launched.
A local sub aqua team joined the search this morning.
