A man has been arrested and a firearm seized as part of an ongoing investigation targeting organised criminal activity in the Coolock area of Dublin.
Gardaí detained the 19-year-old male at a house in Priorswood during a planned search operation this morning.
The search was led by the Coolock Drugs Unit assisted by other local Garda units.
During the search a handgun, an assortment of ammunition and a quantity of cannabis were seized. Drug paraphernalia was also seized.
The man is being detained under Section 30 of the Offences against the State Act, 1939, at Coolock Garda station.
