Gardaí in Dundalk on Monday night arrested a 22-year-old man on suspicion of the murder of a taxi driver in the town last year.
Martin Mulligan (53) died from stab wounds sustained in an incident at Carnmore in Dundalk on September 28th.
The body of the father-of-two was found close to his taxi.
Gardaí last month thanked the public for their assistance after an appeal for information and said “significant progress” had been made in the investigation.

Detectives said they were keen to talk to two women who Mr Mulligan had picked up at a taxi rank on Crowe Street in Dundalk at 12.22am, less than three hours before his body was found.
