A 35-year-old man has been remanded in custody after he was charged with the murder of a man in Athlone in June last year.
He was arrested in the Dublin area on Thursday, a Garda spokesman said.
“ He was charged in connection with this investigation and appeared before Mullingar District Court yesterday afternoon where he was remanded to appear before Cloverhill District Court at a later date,” the spokesman said.
