Man charged with fatal shooting of Michael Barr

A 29-year-old man has been charged with the murder of a man in a Dublin pub last month.

Eamonn Cumberton, with an address at Mountjoy Street, Dublin 7, was charged at a special sitting at the Criminal Courts of Justice with the fatal shooting of Michael Barr (35) on April 25th at the Sunset House pub.

Det Garda Sergeant Brian Delaney gave evidence of the arrest, charge and caution of Mr Cumberton.

The court was told the accused made no response when charged. Mr Cumberton was granted free legal aid and remanded in custody to appear before Cloverhill District Court on June 3rd.
