A man has been arrested by the PSNI in connection with the mysterious deaths of three women in Co Down since 2002.

The suspect (66) was arrested in Dromore, Co Down and taken the the PSNI's serious crime suite in Antrim where he is being questioned about the three deaths and other offences involving other women.

The three women who died were Michelle Bickerstaff (47) who died in April 2012; Margaret Weise (50) who died in August 2007; and Elizabeth McKee (52) who died in December 2002.

All three died in “suspicious circumstances,” the PSNI said.

Their families have been informed.
