A man has been arrested in connection with the stabbing of another man in the early hours of Friday morning in Dublin.

At about 2.45am a male in his 30s was discovered with a number of apparent stab wounds at Littlepace Road, Dublin 15.

Emergency services personnel treated him at the scene and brought him by ambulance to Connolly Hospital where his condition is now stable.

Gardaí later arrested a 32-year-old man at a house in Latchford Park. The man is being detained at Blanchardstown Garda station.

The scene was preserved for a technical and forensic examination and enquires are ongoing.
