A woman has died and three people have been injured in a collision in Co Longford.
The crash occurred on the main Longford to Athlone road at Curry at about 6.10pm today.
The woman, who was in her 20s and travelling alone, sustained fatal injuries when her car and a pick-up truck collided.
Three people travelling in the pick-up truck were injured and taken to the Midland Regional Hospital in Mullingar. Gardaí tonight said the condition of the injured people was not known.
The stretch of road where the crash occurred remains closed pending an examination of the area by a Garda forensic team.
