A nurse accused of murdering her mother on Christmas Eve 2010 is to face a retrial at the Central Criminal Court next year.

Earlier this month, Lithuanian Greta Dudko (35) of Station Court Hall, Clonsilla in Dublin pleaded not guilty to murder but guilty to the manslaughter of Anna Butautiene (55) at that address on December 24th, 2010.

The court heard the plea was not acceptable to the Director of Public Prosecutions and a jury was sworn in for the two-week trial but they failed to reach a verdict after six-and-a-half hours of deliberation.

Today, a date of October 7th, 2014 was set for the retrial and the case is expected to last two weeks.
