Teenager dies of injuries sustained in Co Donegal crash

A 17-year-old girl who was seriously injured in a vehicle collision in Donegal last week has died.

The single-car collision occurred at 9.15pm on Sunday, May 1st, at Meenformal, Glen, Carraig Airt, Co Donegal. The teenager was taken to Letterkenny University Hospital where she was treated for serious injuries.

She was later transferred to Beaumont Hospital in Dublin. She died on Monday evening. Gardaí have renewed their appeal for witnesses to the crash.

“Any road users who were travelling in the area at this time and who have camera (including dash cam) footage, is asked to make this available to investigating gardaí,” it said in a statement.
