Three men wearing balaclavas rob shop in Drogheda

Gardaí investigate two separate armed robberies that took place in Meath and Louth

Three armed men wearing balaclavas robbed a shop in Co Louth on Friday night.

The robbery took place on Rathmullen Road in Drogheda about 9.15pm.

It is believed the men had a shotgun and a large knife when they took a sum of cash. No one was injured in the incident.

Separately, gardaí are investigating another robbery not far from the Drogheda incident. In the second robbery three men robbed a shop in Duleek, Co Meath .

The men, allegedly armed with a shotgun and large knife, went into the shop at about 9pm.

They left the scene on foot with a small amount of money. No one was injured in the incident.
