Two men arrested over murder of Gerry Nolan

Two men have been arrested in connection with the murder of Gerry Nolan.

Mr Nolan died following a fire at his caravan in Deerpark, Castlecomer, Co Kilkenny, on July 24th, 2006 .

Five men were arrested at the time, but no charges were filed.

The case was reviewed in 2014, which led to the launch of a murder investigation.

The men, aged 27 and 30, were arrested in the Dublin area on Thursday morning.

They are being detained at Kilkenny and Thomastown Garda stations under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
