Two males in their late teens have been arrested after a house was badly damaged by fire in Limerick.
Gardaí and the fire services attended the house fire on the South Circular Road in the city at about 2am this morning. The house was extensively damaged before the blaze was brought under control. No one was in the property at the time.
The two teenagers were arrested near the scene a short time later. They are being detained at Roxboro Road Garda station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
The scene is being preserved pending a technical and forensic examination and inquiries are ongoing.
