Woman dies in single-vehicle crash on M7 near Nenagh

A woman has been killled after the car she was driving crashed on the M7 motorway near Nenagh, Co Tipperary..

The crash took place between junction 24 and junction 23 northbound at about 7am on Saturday.

A Garda spokesman said it is believed the woman, who was alone at the time, crashed into a barrier.

There were no other vehicles involved.

The motorway was closed for a Garda forensic collision investigation and diversions were put in place.
