Woman hurt in aggravated burglary in Co Monaghan

Appeal for information about silver Opel car used by four men who entered Castleblayney house

Gardaí in Co Monagahan are attempting to trace the movements of a vehicle used in an aggravated burglary in the Castleblayney area yesterday evening.

Two women and four children were in the house at Killycard at about 5.30pm when four men entered the property and threatened them.

One woman suffered head injuries during the incident and was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda for treatment. Her injuries were not life threatening.

Gardaí did not say what was taken during the incident but are seeking information about the movements of a silver Opel Vectra in the Shercock Road area between 5pm and 6pm yesterday.
