Car recovered after assault outside south city apartment complex yesterday afternoon

A woman in her 50s was assaulted yesterday outside her apartment complex at Argyle House, Serpentine Avenue, Ballsbridge in Dublin.

A woman is in a serious condition in hospital following an incident yesterday afternoon in which her car was hijacked.

She was assaulted by a man and a woman outside her apartment complex at Argyle House, Serpentine Avenue, Ballsbridge in Dublin, at about 2pm and her car was driven away.

The car, a dark grey Ford Focus 03 D 55722, was driven south towards Merrion Road.

A Garda spokeswoman said the car was located this morning in the Kevin Street area of the city.

There have been no arrests in relation to the incident.

The spokeswoman said investigations were ongoing and asked that witnesses to the incident or anyone with information contact Irishtown Garda station on 01 - 666 9600.

She said the injured woman remained in a stable condition.
