A 38-year-old man being held in connection with a £750,000 drugs seizure in Limerick had his custody extended by three days. Judge Tom O'Donnell granted a request for an extension at a special sitting of Limerick District Court on Sunday night.
Gardai seized 6 kg of cocaine, 15 kg of cannabis resin and a few hundred ecstasy tablets. They also found 20 cases of whiskey, a semi-automatic sawn-off shotgun and a quantity of ammunition in dawn raids on Saturday morning.
A 25-year-old woman was also arrested on Sunday night and is being questioned in Henry Street Garda Station in connection with the drugs haul.
