Ousted Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein and several associates will go on trial for mass killing on October 19th.
"There is a date set for October 19," an Iraqi government spokesperson said.. "They will be tried for the execution of 143 citizens."
Several of the Saddam Hussein's closest aides will also face trial with him, on charges relating to the massacre of 143 Shias in a town north of Baghdad.
The killings in Dujail in 1982 followed an attempt on Saddam Hussein's life.
