An RUC detective who played a key role in jailing UFF commander Johnny Adair has blamed loyalist paramilitaries for planting a bomb outside his home on Wednesday night.

The officer and his wife were not injured when a crude bomb exploded outside their house near Ballyclare, Co Antrim at around 10.50 p.m.
