Garda divers and rescuers are searching for a tourist missing on Lough Ree.
The Swiss man, who is believed to be in his seventies, was on board a cruiser that left Athlone on Sunday for Carrick-on-Shannon. His wife's body was recovered from the river near Lecarrow, Co Roscommon, yesterday evening.
The boat was recovered today at the island of Inchmore, north of Athlone, with its engine running.
A Garda spokesman said it was not yet clear what had happened.
