Snooker World Championship: Britain's Graeme Dott clinched the final frame to beat qualifier Neil Robertson 13-12 for a place in the semi-finals of the world championship on Wednesday.
Robertson, who became the first Australian to reach the last eight at The Crucible since Eddie Charlton in 1983, launched a stirring comeback from 9-4 and 12-8 down to level at 12-12 but Dott held on for victory.
"I was very disappointed to lose because I think I was by far the better player throughout the whole match," Robertson told reporters.
"My positional play is so much better and I really believe I'm one of the best players in the world now," added the 24-year-old.
"Obviously I have to start winning tournaments to prove that, but I don't think anyone can out-play me, long-potting wise. I definitely fancy winning a couple of tournaments and really fulfilling my potential."
Dott, who was a losing finalist two years ago, was pleased with his form.
"Being in the semi-finals, I've got a good chance because I know I'm playing well," the Scot said.
