Reuters, the global information, news and technology group, is releasing an archive of more than 800,000 English-language news stories. Equivalent to the news agency's annual global output, it will be available to universities and research organisations free of charge. The archive includes all English-language stories produced by Reuters globally between August 20th, l996, and August 10th, l997, on two CD-ROMs formatted in XML.
