Press pass: This programme, aimed mainly at transition year, seeks to help students improve their literacy and critical-thinking skills, as well as to develop a deeper understanding of news media.
Participating schools receive free newspapers, lesson plans for teachers and a special workbook. Students are encouraged to analyse newspapers and create their own original journalism. The deadline to enter is October 26th.

Junior entrepreneurs programme: This programme, the brainchild of Jerry Kennelly, is aimed at using the classroom to help nurture the entrepreneurs of tomorrow.
It is launching again this academic year and is free of charge to fifth and sixth classes. The 12- to 16-week programme aims to help students develop business skills in collaboration with their classmates.
