• The boxes of the six million Easter eggs consumed this year would stretch to more than 900km (560 miles), reaching all the way from Dublin to Paris

• Irish households will eat almost one million kilograms of chocolate (2.2 million lbs) over the Easter period. This is the equivalent of six Olympic-sized swimming pools
