Gardaí in Co Galway are investigating a single vehicle crash that led to the death of a 72-year-old man.
The crash happened shortly after 6.30 a.m. this morning when his car struck a lamppost on Burke Road, The Demense, Tuam.
The driver who has not been named was the only occupant of the car and was dead on arrival at University College Hospital, Galway.
