Cricket: England's pacemen reduced India to 149 for four after Indian leg spinner Anil Kumble captured his 500th test wicket on day three of the second test.

Captain Andrew Flintoff removed Sachin Tendulkar for four as India lost three quick wickets after tea in reply to England's first innings 300 all out. Captain Rahul Dravid was on 60 with Mahendra Dhoni on 12 at stumps.

Kumble finished with five for 76 after the 35-year-old grabbed three wickets in four deliveries after lunch to become only the fifth test bowler to reach the 500-wicket milestone.

Kumble bowled wicketkeeper Geraint Jones for 52. He then trapped Steve Harmison lbw first ball for his 500th test wicket.    Last man Monty Panesar prevented the hat-trick but edged the next ball to captain Rahul Dravid at slip. The last five England wickets fell for 17 runs.
