Brussels - EU foreign ministers are expected to agree on Monday to drop tariff barriers against goods from Albania, Bosnia, Croatia, the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM), Montenegro and Kosovo, in an attempt to help their ailing economies, Patrick Smyth reports.

Ministers are also keen to send a signal to Serbian voters of what also may be on offer to them if they throw out President Slobodan Milosevic. The move will raise from 80 to 95 per cent the share of their exports which can enter the EU untaxed.
