Mexico City - A book by former Mexican president Mr Carlos Salinas in which he blames his successor, President Ernesto Zedillo, for the 1994-95 peso crisis, has had record sales in its first week, its publisher said yesterday.

Some 30,000 copies of Mexico - a difficult path to modernisation have sold since it hit book shops at the start of the week, and a further 15,000 copies would be printed.
