Slobodan Milosevic's former secret service chief Jovica Stanisic and his former deputy Franko Simatovic are to be provisionally released by the United Nations war crimes tribunal, the court said today.

The court said it was satisfied that both the accused would return for trial and did not pose any danger to victims, witnesses or other persons.

The tribunal said Mr Simatovic's health had been taken into account in the reaching the decision.
