Army bomb experts have made safe a small explosive device left by a roadside in Co Armagh.

Army bomb experts have made safe a small explosive device left by a roadside in Co Armagh.

It was found near the minor Baltarran Road in Armagh this afternoon.

Searches were carried out yesetrday and today after police received two telephone bomb warnings.

A PSNI spokesman said: "The device was in a metal box placed on the ground and was capable of causing injury if it had been handled."
