Gardai in Co Donegal say they uncovered a "significant" quantity of arms, ammunition and explosives yesterday

Gardai in Co Donegal say they uncovered a "significant" quantity of arms, ammunition and explosives yesterday. They made the dis covery in a wooded area in Porthall, about five miles from Lifford, at 3.30 p.m.

The haul included 100 lb of home-made explosives; a detonator; three timing units; Cortex; two hand guns and 100 rounds of ammunition.
