Formula One will stage its first night race next year after plans for a floodlit event in Singapore were confirmed.
Singapore's new circuit has been included on the calendar for 2008 with, as had been mooted, a night-time start.
The new race, which will take place in September, will extend the season to 18 events with Canada retained despite previously being given only provisional status.
The European Grand Prix has been moved to a new street circuit in Valencia while the French race, which had been in doubt, is included.
The British Grand Prix at Silverstone has been given a date of July 6th. The season will start in Australia on March 16th and end in Brazil on November 2nd.
The United States race at Indianapolis drops off the schedule while the German Grand Prix returns at Hockenheim.
The sport's governing body, the FIA, have also agreed to Spyker's request to be renamed Force India.
It is yet another incarnation for the former Jordan team, which became Midland in 2005 and Spyker this year.
