Cavan 0-13 Fermanagh 1-13:Fermanagh will meet Monaghan in the semi-finals of the Ulster championship after seeing off Cavan at Breffni Park this evening.
Cavan held a slender 0-8 to 0-7 lead at the break but were unable to kick on in the second half. Instead, Fermanagh’s greater hunger told and early scores from Daryl Keenan and Chris O'Brien tipped the momentum their way.
Cavan hung in there until seven minutes from time, when Ryan Carson, the standout performer over the 70 minutes, found the net from close range to open a lead they would never relinquish.
Cavan, who seemd to lack belief, will now need to pick themselves up ahead of the qualifier series.
